Dogs are pack animals. Everybody knows that but until you've seen a dozen or so dogs of all breeds, cavorting about, rough-housing and body-slamming each other, doing their own intricate little dance to determine who's running the show, you haven't seen a dog pack.
This spectacle can be alarming to the uninitiated. Dogs play rough. They've never heard of sensitivity training. They can smell weakness (in dogs or people) a mile away and have no respect for it. But most dogs, after some initial curious inspection, soon find themselves accepted by the group.
Occasionally the level of excitement gets too elevated. Then it's my job to step in, separate the warring parties, restore calm to the park. Actual fights are extremely rare.

My day usually begins around 9:00 o'clock when Hanna, Hondo, Stitch and I set out on our morning rounds, gathering the team members for morning play group. We're generally at the park for 90 minutes and have everyone dropped off by about noon.
I spend the middle part of the day doing private walks, mostly in the downtown area. Then it's back to the park in the late afternoon for another group outing.

While the principal focus of my business is on dog park play groups, I also provide private walks and home visits when clients are out of town. These services are based on availability of time in my schedule.
Hanna is fond of saying, "Comparing a walk to a dog park trip is like comparing a half hour in a tanning booth to a day at the beach." (She's very opinionated.)
